MarketFox is a community dedicated to discussing actionable investment

ideas. All asset classes are covered, but most of the content is about stocks.

The community is managed by me, Daniel Grioli. I spent more than a decade working on asset allocation, multi-asset strategy portfolio construction and fund manager research for large institutions. I now manage a small US equity absolute return hedge fund.

I left institutional investing in 2017. I never really fit in. I have no patience for office politics. Much of what happens in the investment industry is garbage. I’m not afraid to call a spade a spade.

Don’t get me wrong, there are a lot of good people in the industry. But people respond to incentives. And the investment industry incentivizes a lot of bad behaviour.

I have no conflicts of interest. I’m not selling anything and I don’t receive commissions or retainers from anyone.

MarketFox is 100% independent. That’s why I need you to become a supporter.

I don’t provide advice. I don’t know your circumstances, goals or risk preferences.

I share what I’m working on and sometimes what I’m doing with my own money. That’s it.

I have skin in the game. My income depends on the performance of the money that I manage and my work as a part-time consultant.
